Many people know of Palo Santo as the mystical wood from South America that’s burned in rituals and believed to bring good fortune. But few people know that it is also commonly burned to keep bugs away. We love the idea of blending Palo Santo essential oil with citronella oil, a proven all-natural insect repellent. The resin in the Palo Santo is naturally aromatic and this alluring combination produces a woodsy scent that mixes tea tree and cedar with citrus undertones. Your outdoor gatherings will smell great while keeping biting bugs at bay.

About the Designer:
Skeem Design was founded in 2004 by husband-and-wife team Suji Meswani and Geoff Weiser. The name, Skeem, comes from the couple’s “scheme” to find a way out of the corporate grind in an effort to fully realize their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. They created a lifestyle with a healthy work-life balance that allows them to spend more time in nature and traveling. This has proven to be a large source of inspiration for their boutique home fragrance range that features candles, perfumes, incense, and match bottles. Their mission has always been to create beautiful, useful products, eliminate excess packaging, and to produce as much of the line in the US as possible. Many of their products are designed to be reusable. Match bottles can be refilled or repurposed to hold a single flower stem. Empty Field Jars and Match Cloches can be used to display a found object, and their modern candle vessels are great for holding bathroom, kitchen, and desk items.
